MECC welcomes visitor number 500,000
Since adding the Convention Centre to the Entertainment Centre and opening what is now known as the MECC in July 2009, over 160,000 people have visited the facility per annum. However 2012 is a bumper year for the MECC with visitations rapidly increasing largely thanks to the 25,000 people who came ice skating.
So, earlier than originally anticipated the MECC will welcome visitor number 500,000 through the doors on Tuesday 24 April for the Morning Melodies performance of An Australian in Paris, starring Jane Rutter.
