1st Annual 2011 BMA Charity Gala Ball rolls in to Moranbah

On Saturday August 13, Ted Rolfe Oval will be transformed into a glitzy and glamorous Hollywood celebration when the first annual 2011 BMA Charity Gala Ball rolls in to Moranbah raising much needed funds for Central Queensland Helicopter Rescue Service (RACQ CQ Rescue) and the Mater Foundation.

Attendees will rub shoulders with stars from the world of sports and entertainment including former Australian Rules footballer and St Kilda player Peter “Spida” Everitt, former Rugby League star Mat Rogers and former Australian International Rugby Union footballer, Elton Flatley. The red carpet event includes a delicious three course dinner as well as a beer and wine package. During the nights proceedings, guests will be treated to an exclusive performance by one of Australia’s most popular entertainers, David Campbell.

A multi-platinum selling recording artist, Campbell has featured on TV, starred in theatre and cabaret, recorded four Top Ten albums, and sold out concert tours from coast to coast. He has a unique legacy as not just one of Australia’s leading musical theatre stars, but also one of the few local performers to have achieved similar success in New York. An exclusive range of music and sports memorabilia will also be auctioned off.

All proceeds of the fundraiser will go towards keeping CQ Rescue’s vital service operational. The Central Queensland Helicopter Rescue Service (CQ RESCUE) plays a vital role in the community by providing rapid medical assistance to those in need in the hope of reducing the likelihood of permanent impairment. The prompt medical assistance offered by RACQ CQ RESCUE is designed to lessen the prolonged effect of trauma patients suffer as a result of illness and injury.

The Mater Foundation supports compassionate care for our community by raising funds for healthcare and medical research programs at the Mater.

Tickets are $155 Inc GST for individual tickets, groups of 10 to 19 tickets are $150 Inc GST each and groups 20+ are $145 Inc GST each.
