Held in October each year, Mackay’s largest multicultural event lets locals travel the world in a single day.
Running from 3pm to 8pm back at the revitalised Queens Park, the festival features an amazing array of performers, bands and dance groups.
On show will be an amazing range of music and traditional dances and costumes from local and international performers.

There will also be a range of food vendors with delicacies from across the world and market stalls to check out, including;
- Read the food vendor and market stall terms and conditions
Add to that a workshop teepee with activities to enthral children and adults alike, including:
- Drumming workshop
- Face painting
- Salsa and Latin dance lessons
Global Grooves is an initiative of Mackay Regional Council and the MECC, and is proudly supported by the Queensland Government Multicultural Arts Queensland, and ABC Tropical North.
