New Year's Eve River Party

Friday, December 31, from 6pm to 9pm
Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre (MECC)

Time to wave good-bye to the year that was. Free, family fun this New Year’s Eve at the MECC.

ATTENTION: Due to wet weather forecast, this event has moved to the MECC, 258 Alfred Street Mackay.

Forecasted wet weather will not put a damper on the New Year’s Eve River Party. The event has been moved to the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre (MECC) to provide a dry spot for families wishing to join in on the free, family fun.

Relax, unwind and bring in the new year with the Looney Tunes and local musicians Tiffany Grace and Kate Lockyer. Grab a bite to eat at one of the many food vendors on site while the kids enjoy amusement rides and free face painting.

Don’t forget Mackay Waterfront’s fireworks display at 9pm and midnight!

This the perfect way to say good-bye to 2021, and hello to 2022!

Tiffany Grace Music

Tiffany Grace - Born with a love of sharing her stories through singing, Tiffany Grace is an emerging music artist local to Mackay.

Forging her own unique, professional career path, Tiffany sings an array of genres including country, pop, and musical.

Kate Lockyer

Twenty-one-year-old Kate Lockyer has been singing since she can remember.

She loves performing the classic songs we all love from the late 20th century all the way through to current hits, and at the moment she is digging contemporary Australian bands too, so expect to hear a smattering of Aussie music in the mix. Her original music often has a softer, almost folky quality.
