ReNew Mackay presents Toni Childs - One For Our Heroes, performing at the MECC on Sunday May 2nd.

With fans all over the world, the Emmy winner and three-time Grammy nominated singer, has produced international hits such as ‘I’ve Got To Go Now’; ‘Don’t Walk Away’; ‘Many Rivers to Cross’; ‘Stop Your Fussin’; ‘Walk and Talk Like Angels’; and ‘Because You’re Beautiful’.

Founded by local businesspeople in 2019, ReNew Mackay is a construction and development project that will transform Mackay’s Waterfront and CBD into a vibrant community with layers of residential living and outdoor activities that are also designed to keystone the region as a tourism generator.

Toni Childs - One For Our Heroes is proudly supported by PTSD Frontline, an organisation established in honour of  Keith Payne VC AM for his decades of work to improve recognition and care for veterans and first responders who face difficulties adjusting back to civilian life.

ReNew Mackay, along with PTSD Frontline and the Mackay RSL Sub-Branch are also supporting a longer-term campaign, alongside the Daily Mercury, to establish a social and welfare centre in the CBD as well as a health retreat at Kinchant Dam for war veterans and emergency service workers.

The Daily Mercury is proud to back finding a Hub for our Heroes, and an international singer of Toni Childs’ calibre adds to the strong community support for the initiative.

This is a not for profit event.
