A signature event on Mackay’s calendar, the popular Whitsunday Voices Workpac Literary Dinner returns for another memorable evening to celebrate the wind-up of the 2021 Whitsunday Voices Youth Literature Festival.

Enjoy a delightful three course dinner, meet and mingle with this year’s festival presenters in a relaxed environment, and be captivated by this year’s keynote speaker, Saroo Brierley. Saroo’s remarkable story made headlines across the world when at the tender age of 5 he was separated from his family in India, and eventually adopted by an Australian family. Determined to reunite with his mother, he found his hometown via Google Earth, 25 years later.

Captured in his international best-selling autobiography ‘A Long Way Home’ and the award-winning film ‘Lion’, Saroo’s story is a moving and inspirational true story of survival and triumph against all odds.

PLUS! Dance the night away to a live band playing your favourite tunes!

Please note: This is an 18+ event. ID required for service of alcohol.

Please note: Ticket sales cut off 12pm Friday 9 July 2021. Dietary requirements required at time of purchase.
